I don't know if anyone has great amounts of experience doing time lapse photography but I found an amazing example of it. Click on the Time Lapse tab and enjoy the video.

I think this is "cinematography" in which a video camera was used to record a scene in real-time and then sped up in post processing. So I don't think this would constitute as "photography".
But it IS amazing none the less! |

I believe these were done with a digital SLR and an intervolomoter. |

Very cool! It seems pretty simple and I'd love to try it, but the next $1300 I spend will be on a 40D, not Final Cut Pro! |

Wow, I got schooled, thanks for the info. I guess I got confused with the "cinematography" plastered everywhere on his site.
And I know it literally means "writing with light", but its generally used for video.
