Not really going out with a bang (like some of you guys!), but I did finish!
Day 30:
This has been great! Much enjoyment from shooting, processing and viewing others awesome images! Need to take a break and get back to bizzziness for awhile though. Thanks to all for comments and sharing your photos!

And here it is - the last of my 30 Days:
Day 27, Gimli, Manitoba (taken in April when there was still ice on the lake)
Day 28, Cheetahs at Assiniboine Park Zoo (they were very intently watching a chubby young boy walking past - later, the smaller one got up and actually seemed to stalk him)
Day 29 
It was the reflection that caught my eye
annnddd, drum roll please...
Day 30, Fort Whyte Centre, one of the many hiking trails along old railway tracks (ski trails in the winter)
On that note, a big thanks to lowcivicman, this was a great side challenge, one of my favorites yet!

Done, I actually finished a side challenge!!! Had to convert a handful of older pictures, but I did it, with 5 minutes left to spare!

Done!! Fell behind there for a while. Great shots this month and thanks for the comments and helpful insight. I belive that sometimes you focus so much on a photo that obvious flaws slip by and having knowledgeable people point them out to you helps you grow. i also belive that one of the best way to learn is to look at others photos and see what you like and try to incorporate that into your style. Alot of inspiration out there this month, thanks a ton people! |

Sorry, Gang. Real Life got in the way, and I didn't make my 30, but I had a lot of fun, and got some very good comments.

Thanks heaps for showing me this colored version. I really do like to see the colored version against the black and white, and I do think this time the black and white one has more impact to the viewer.
I just love the tonal range, fine detail and textures.

I am just SO EXCITED - I can't believe I've completed entirely a WHOLE month of side challenge - YIPPEE!
I have loved every minute of this and am now moving on to the October Light side challenge!
Congratulations EVERYONE who was a part of this challenge - the images are wonderful, diverse and SO interesting!

it's actually already octobre here, but i'll post my last shot anyways ;)
it is (again) a photograph out of my iceland collection, but i really do like this shot and thought i could throw it in here, 'cause i haven't gotten any comments on it yet.
this (for me first) side challenge was a really cool experience for me, i think i learned some new perspectives and ways of thinkin' black'n white.

Thank you, lowcivicman99 for starting and following through on this side challenge. It's been a fascinating 30 days and a great learning experience. I not only learned more about using the tools I already have, but it was splendid to learn from the others who participated.

This side challenge has been sooooooo much fun and a great learning tool. I have taken chances in PP that I just know I would not have taken in real challenges. Thanks to all for the wonderful comments. You have helped me beyond my expectations when I entered this.

Day 30 -  plus a Collage of four duotones. 
It has been a wonderful experience to be part of this "30 Day Black & White Side challenge".

ps; I achieved my GOAL with this side challenge, as I DID NOT do any Square crops at all, and only did portrait and landscape.
I am very proud of myself, as most of my work is wirh square crop.
I like what I have done, so again, I thank you all, for yor comments, and wonderful images.
