Just as I was about to start editing a photo I had for the "Speed II" challenge........ the power dies and we have an outage from about 8:30pm to around 1:30am last night. Oh well!

The power did come back on at half voltage right after it died, which was kind of interesting to begin with. All of the CF light bulbs that we have in our house were glowing fairly bright, all of the old style bulbs that we have were glowing this eery yellow colour. It shows how much power useage the old bulbs need and how little power the CF bulbs need to run properly. Eventually all power was lost for the rest of the evening.

The one good thing about this outage was, it gave me a chance to snap some photos in "bulb" mode doing 10second plus exposures of the moon shining on the neighbours homes. No street lights to get in the way. Now they werent stellar photos because they were out of focus. But, it was still interesting to see a photo turn out using bulb mode.

One more step in the learning process!
