I'm getting a little confused about Focus Testing.

It seems that your camera could front or back focus but it also seems that lenses can do the same.

So how do you test you gear and if there is a problem how do you identify which part of your setup is at fault ?

Are you having problems with your lens or camera body? Can you post a few examples?

If it's the Camera body then all your shots using different lenses will have focus problems. If it's just one lens well the other lenses won't have the problem.

I don't think I have a major issue but I do think that some shots are a little soft. No sample here i'm afraid.

I'm just probably paranoid but i'd like to test it just to be sure.

Any Tips ?

Yep I saw that one and I'm gonna try it.

However if the area in focus is not what you expected, how do you know if it's the camera that is causing the problem or the lens.

switch lenses - same problem more than likely the body. No problem, more than likely the lens.
