I finally got my new site up and running, it took me a few months....

I was wondering if you guys wanted to try it out on your various browsers and let me know if it's working alright. I like to call it the "beta" version of the new site....it's still needs some tweaking here and there.

Let me know if you see any problems / errors / funny things.

The site is here ...or in my sig.

Thanks.

Caleb

It's working... I would maybe move the "home-about-photos-contact" thing up higher so it isn't right on the white line. It blends in too much and it was hard for me to see it at first.

I went ahead and moved it up higher.... functionality over style right?

Looks good. It's a bit slow, I find, especially loading the thumbnails. Also, I'm not a fan of so much motion (things scrolling in and out) but that's just me. I think it reflects your style of photography very well. It's very easy and intuitive to navigate.

I'm also not a fan of linking out to flickr for the full size images, as I lost the context and continuity of your site, and it's not easy to select the next image in the list to view. However, that's probably more about bandwidth I would guess, than a style choice. Good luck.

I've thought about integrating a non-flickr gallery for people who don't use it. I love flickr and the fact that people can comment on the photos and I can keep track of the views and all that good stuff. I wish there was a way to integrate flickr tools into a website gallery without having to link to flickr...

Yeah, the site is a little slow....I kinda went crazy with the png's. I might try to downsize some of the images.

Thanks for the input.
