someone here did a image like that with a piggy bank (but his was staged, not done in this same technique), I breezed the challenges but couldn't find it. They did an amazing job at it, had me fooled. (edit to add that it probably ISN'T anything like this technique, just made me think of it.)
Requires way too much patients for me lol.

Did a similar thing with a flash trigger that some friends and I built for a varsity practical assignment earlier this year.
