With votes coming in so slow there is still plenty of time. Come on up and join me. The air is just fine.

Hey, y'all have fun with this!

I was so freaked out by my 7.3333 start, that I had plumb fergot that I had entered RURAL, not Urban!

I'm down to a more real 6.4583 and now posting over there......where I'm actually in the challenge!

Its very rare that I bother about the scores. But this time I expected it to be 6+. (and for this entry I am bothered about the scores).

Even though my pic is a stretch, i thought it was better than a 4.25. Oh well, one more week of pulling my hair out and wearing my left finger out!

I'm with Breeeeee. . .on my way to one of my worst scores ever. And I'm crushed because I think its beautiful, very much more deserving than the score it is getting :(

Score: 5.23 :(

Buttttttt the pain is eased somewhat by my 7.4+ score in the Free Study :)

Hey, I did the same thing....only problem was.......I entered my Urban shot IN the Rural Challenge and am now scrambling to get it out! LOL

Anyone know how I can do that? I've just written to SC, explaining.

I feel REALLY silly right now! :(

Ouch. My first challenge entry and all I had my hopes set on was above a 5. Might turn out to be a bit of a pipe dream :P

I may just break 6.0 this time. All it took was a new camera and a cross-country road trip.

But alas, I expected it. And I can't even say why without most likely sacrificing the anonymity of my submission. =X

Being new to DPC and the hobby of photography...I definitely have a lot to learn. One thing is interpreting the challenges! My entry will probably be my worst score to date...but at least I tried.

Looked up the definition of "landscape" before entering the challenge...
"A landscape comprises the visible features of an area of land, including physical elements such as landforms, living elements of flora and fauna, abstract elements such as lighting and weather conditions, and human elements, for instance human activity or the built environment. Landscape may also signify the objects around one in a building."

Choose a narrow part of the definition and you'll limit yourself to a smaller number of voters that "get it". Can be risky. :)
