Thunderstorms are rolling through Minneapolis/St.Paul metro area producing golf ball size hail. I was out sizing up some of the hail, and noticed that as the hail was melting it revealed the layers that were created as it was forming and made some interesting designs.

Just thought I'd share, hope the subject is not to boring :P

Looks like that same storm is heading this way. Might be a good opportunity for some lightning shots.

Cool shots, no puns intended, I love the layer shown in the shots. It always amazes me how large hail can get and the force it must take to updraft the water to make them.
