Instead, I went with 563842.jpg.

If I had to do all over I would have entered this one instead:

These were my outtakes:

567991.jpg 567995.jpg

and this was my entry:

555422.jpg finishing at 5.9493

Did I pick the wrong one?
08/08/2007 12:16:25 AM · #5

This was what I entered originally.
556422.jpg

But family and friends convinced me that this was a better choice. (I agreed with them..)
564570.jpg

I had way too much fun taking these to be overly disappointed with a 5.9. Besides, I've seen too many fours to complain when a shot brings up my average.

Not really an outtake but another shot of Mushu so everyone can see how small he was :)

I know I should have entered this one, but I had just gotten my new monitor and I thought it looked different on my screen than other people's. Apparently not :(

No, it didn't but now seeing the original I see why you cropped it so close. That house in the background is ugly.

The outtake took me a minute or so to shoot:
567369.jpg

The moon was blurry, though, so plan B took another 90 minutes to get my entry:

Here were my other choices from the series.

Since one person asked...
Yes, I was driving.
I was doing about 55.
I saw no other cars.

I set the camera to boot certain settings when I know I'm going to be driving. Manual focus on infinity(anything greater than 30m), no flash, and daylight white balance. All I have to do is keep the windshield clean, or put my hand through the wrist loop and put my hand out the window. These were through the windshield. It is one of the reasons I still like using this camera.
