Are you including the District of Columbia? I slightly edged out Karen O. for Virginia, but she might be interested in taking Washington, DC.

I'd love to participate in this and vote for a ducky. Woody would be my second choice.

ETA: My home state is Pennsylvania, but I can easily do Maryland or the District of Columbia if no one in-state volunteers for those.

True enough, I could give DC a shot if you're interested (but I'll have to scrap my Monticello idea :) ) - I'm just outside of DC.

Put me down for Pennsylvania.

edit: Although I see ClubJuggle beat me to it.

Add me as the Utah connection! That will be way cool!

Oh, I vote for a picture frame or a woody.

Whatever you decide, I'd enjoy doing either Washington, DC or Virginia.

I don't live in Maryland, but I could easily get there since it's about a 20-minute drive.

Or any combination. :)

I'll take KS if no one has already

I'll take MA.

In principle, shouldn't each photo be by someone who lives in the state? Otherwise, someone can snag several by shooting at Four Corners ... : )

A Woody in a picture frame has possibilities.

Very good point. Sorry - if we're going to include DC, someone who lives in DC should cover it.

Certainly! I live in VA.

I was just volunteering to do MD or DC in case no one who lives there volunteered. Now KaDi's gonna do MD.

I do work in DC, so it's not that much of a stretch.

You can put me down for Colorado if you like.
07/30/2007 02:30:25 PM · #41
Man this can get confusing.

I don't really care if out of staters get one. But only one user per state.

I like the ducky idea as well.

I've seen this done with Geocaching and travel bugs. One had a CF card attached and you were to take a photo with it then put it back into a geocache for someone else to move along to a different location.

Picture frame- I like it.
Woody- hell no, I hate woodies. Man, I really hate woodies.
Ducky, also pretty cool, but I think the picture frame or slinky would be much more interesting and creative.

There, that's what I think.

ok once we get the list finished we will work out the particulars. I am doing it on a first post basis. So let's see if we can get the whole list filled soon.

As of now I am deciding between a ducky or a slinky.

a ducky will hold up better

Or one of us could send you one.

My niece has a gargantuan one. It is like a foot long and huge!! (Wouldn't recommend that one for this, obviously).

Maybe you could tattoo it with the dpc logo before you send it on its way?

OK I found a map of the US with the states listed. I would like to find a bigger one similar to this.

ETA: The Map:

I want to be able to print this up and mail it with the duck do each user can put there username on the state once they take the photo and send it on its way. I will print this and plot out the most logical route for it to take.

I will go tomorrow and find a Duck to do this with. Any one else wanna jump in with their state then please post so I can add you to the list.
