Recently I purchased a Nikon D.80 with ‘Sigma 24-60mm f/2.8 EX DG’ lens. So far I am not happy with the lens; I am not getting any sharp pictures from this lens. At the same time I get sharp pictures from one of my old lenses. Is the above mentioned lens any good or is it me?
Please advice.

Looking at some of the photos you have made with that lens...those are some mighty slow shutter speeds. If you are not using a tripod for those speeds, then you are not going to get very sharp photos. |

Set your camera on tripod at F5.6 or f8 and take another shot using camera's timer. See how it turns out.

I've read that Sigma had produced some bad lenses in that line, but would replace or repair them.
Produce some tripod mounted f/8 shots as proof and send them to Sigma USA. If you don't get satisfaction from them send the proofs to Sigma headquarters in Japan.
