Hi,
I have a camera with max. resolution: 2272 x 1704 pixels. How can I know the maximum print size for an optimal resolution ? I need to print a poster of 20x32 in. but I only have experience printing in 8x10 in.

Anybody has printed more than 8x10 with this resolution (4 megapixels)?

Thanks !!!!

Your current file size will give you a good print up to about 10x15 (2272/150 = 15.14).

To go as large as you was, you'll have to resample the image up to 200% of the original, which is pushing the boundaries of practicality -- whether it can be done to your satisfaction depends somewhat on the image, somewhat on the technique used, and somewhat on your standards.

Check out the tutorials (under the Learn Menu) on Resampling and Creating Printable Images.

If you are going to resample upwards do it in gradual steps by about 10% increases with each interpolation rather than in just one upward resampling. After each step up follow it by a sharpenening of your image with USM. That will help to limit the amount of degradation to your image. Then when you get to the right size, print at 200 dpi.
