Great lens for the money. I really don't use it much though.

I like the first photo quite a bit. Why did you choose that particular color tone to go with it?

I chose it because the flowers are a pinkish purple color.... in real life...

ETA... it was cool because it was windy... further blurring the other flowers...

It's a good thing to learn to compose a shot by moving around and in and out with your feet instead of using a zoom.

I loved mine but now its broke! Hope to get a replacement soon.

I just got my 50mm f/1.8 II a couple of days ago. Haven't had much of a chance to play with it yet though....

I'm new to a 50mm prime myself - certainly a fun lens to play with. In my case it's a Minolta 50mm F1.7

Is this shallow enough? :)
