I locate my phone (or anything else, for that matter) by retrieving it from where I put it. My dimentia is feigned (so far, anyway).

The bad news is that the batrry is hard wired.

You can not swap bateries out, you have to send the phone in to have battery swapped out for $85.

I have already paid my dues as an early adopter many times over... (£400 1X cd-r drive, anyone?)

I think I 'll let others do Apple's beta testing for now...

Generation 2 or 3 will be much, much better.

I remember the Newton!!! I was about 9 when it came out, and I thought it was THE coolest thing I'd ever seen!! Years and years and years ahead of its time.....what a shame.

I've been wondering if they might not revisit some of the technology they had for the Newton, and was so excited to hear about the iPhone! In fact, about three months before they announced the iPhone I thought to myself "with all these cellphone/MP3 players, I'm really surprised Apple hasn't turned the iPod into a phone." Steve Jobs is always 6 steps ahead of me :-)

I have and often use my Newton 100. The first model. It was built in 1993. How far we have come.
