So..... I'm working on a new logo and would like some opinions. Do any of these hit you as "That's Cool" or "Nice" or "Ick"?

Here are the current choices:
1.

2.

3.

4.

5.

6.

Any good designers out there wanna give me some alternate ideas? :)

#1 and then #4 ... #3 doesn't really work for me ... maybe it's the composition or color ... #5 the font is too whimsical, doesn't have that professional feel IMHO

good luck with your choice!

#1 for sure, is my vote!

I also really like #5 as my second choice.

:)

I like the idea of #5, and the looks, but I'm not sure if it fits in with everyone's concept of what's "professional". But it's funky.

#1 is the best overall, I think, but it's not as funky :)

I like number 4 but make it more 3d-like by putting shadows? :)

Got to agree, #1 sticks out for me.

My 2c (remembering I'm no expert):
-Font's good, nice and clean and professional
-Concept's good, idea of the arc and sun work for me

However,
-Arc feels like its falling off the side of the text a little, and the amount of dead space in the middle makes it maybe feel a little disjointed. Also wonder if the sun is perhaps a little complex in terms of number of "arms?". Don't know if pulling it all together a little may be an improvement.

Just my thoughts anyway...

#1 for sure. I need to do something with mine as well and will try some stuff soon.

Looks like my hunch was right - that #1 would get the best response. I'll play around with fine-tuning it. I like #5 as well, like Ursula said - its funky, but not sure it says what I want it to say about the business.

I like #2 then #1. I'd like #1 more, but the font is too small.

I like # 4, and then as a second choice #1.

I like number 2 best

Hey Cindi.... I like #1 best... :)

1,4, or 6, in that order.

Number 3 is definetly the way to, if your building a time machine and heading back to 1974.

I'd go with either #1 or #2. I like #4, but it seems more like a publishing or home desing logo.

should let us try to make ya one :-P~~

No 1 for me

The colors and layout of 6 is good but the font kinda overshadows the design. A simpler font in 6 (maybe of 3) may look better

Number one indeed! It'll work great on hats T-shirts and such as well as being your letterhead, part of your business card etc.

I like #1.
Q: Is if for your penrodstudio website? If so, I have an idea, is it ok for me to use one of your picture from your DPC profile to create a logo and see how you like it?

I like #2 best, though I think the black bar underneat your name might be a tad thick. Could you shave it down a bit?

The thing I don't like about #1 is that the "swoosh" is so similar to so many corporate logos.

Am I the only one who likes #3? I guess it is terribly retro, but there's something about it appeals to me. Does the fact I like it discount my opinions on #2 and #1? :-)

Here are the current choices:
1. - ok...

2. - ick...

3. - what? are you really an amature?

4. - ok...

5. - not bad...

6. - ick...

i think 4 would work best... especially since i think it would also work with the color of the background and lettering reversed. that would give you two versions of the logo, depending on what you wanted to use it on...

Any good designers out there wanna give me some alternate ideas? :)

Yes, it will be for my website. You are welcome to play with anything of mine - I'd love some more options. :)
