Don't do it! You'll get a whole lot of DNMCs!!!!

Why is land (not sea) listed as a Member challenge?

Would a shot of my toilet flushing and titled "going to the sea" be considered a SHOEHORN for this challenge?

So, if it's not the actual SEA as in, the ocean, do you think voters will mark it down? Maybe I should just stick with land. Hmmm....

How will we know it's not the ocean?

I suspect they are both supposed to be open, but the SC has langdon squirreled away right now, and we can't fix it. :)

Looks like I'm gonna have to fill the car up with gas this weekend...

That's just what I was thinking, Doc. The member challenge (Weekend) and this one are sort of made for Cape Cod, aren't they?

Meaning if it's just a pond or a lake...

I guess when it says "open water" in the challenge description, it should be fine... but when i see "sea," I think only ocean. But I guess it should be okay, huh?

I just spent 5 days on the Maine coast ... got back Monday ... ARGHHH!! 200 frames with lighthouses and sailboats and flowering coastal vegetation ... and they preclude the challenge by 2 days. :-(

And I'm going to the the coast on holiday on July 6th.. three days too flipping late :-(

True. What's up with that?

Or Carmel/Pebble Beach? ;) 1 week too early for playoffs :(

It's a temporary glitch. It'll be sorted out in a day or so.

Yeah - wish I had the time (and season)to go back and take this one...

I might have scored in the 6's with it and break the loooong dry spell I've had :-(

Okay - I'm uploaded... sigh... such a pretty picture.

I'll be disappointed if Falc or Achoo don't make the top ten in this one...realised in shooting for this, that you really need to be a master (or mistress) of the Ebb and Flow.

Can you have people in the seascape? I know you can anchor the shot with some land but can you include people as the anchor also?? Or with I get a DNMC for doing it. Have taken some shots but am rethinking if they will meet the challenge. Hmmmm

With roughly 24 hrs left for submission, I'm still not sure what this challenge is about. I'm taking it that if you don't live near a body of salt water you're out of luck in this challenge? Unless, like in the 'Wildlife' challenge where it was expressly written that 'NO ZOO'S' were allowed, some of the photographers 'tricked' the voters into thinking that they're shot was NOT taken in a zoo. So, for this challenge it has be have at least part of the ocean in it right?

They could always do the land challenge.

Then why in the 'Land(not sea) challenge do the details mention 'no oceans or giant lakes for this one'?
