I’ve often thought about all the sunrises I’m missing after wakening, and so I propose a sunrise a day for a year, why sunrises, well they can be boring & they can be exhilarating, but the beauty is they happen everyday everywhere. and so come 1/7/07 I will start. So the Question is who is with me? let me show you my part of the world.

I think you are a little late. 01/07/07 was January...............Oh wait a minute you are using the date the other way round, okay July you say. I can never wake up in the morning so I won't be able to participate with this. If you take a picture of a sunrise for a whole year, I'll buy that coffee table book. |

I'll give it a shot... can't guarantee I won't miss a few... and some will be taken from planes, but it should be fun to try. |

Sounds like a great idea, I live right in the middle of a city so if I take part it's going to be 365 Days of Industrial Sunrise...will that be ok? |

Sounds good to me, what ever you catch, its about the effort and finding new ways to show the same basic subject |

It's time for the world to switch to 07-01-01 (YEAR-MONTH-DAY). So much easier when sorting on the computer.

Hey Steven, I've been thinking about this through the day and have a question for you. I'm not in the best of health, some days are worse than others, and I can't guarantee I'll be well enough to be up early everyday for a year...so...can we say 1 sunrise OR sunset shot per day for 365 days? That way I reckon I'll have no problem completing the task! :o)

The only sunrise I go to see is the Summer Solstice, 21/06/07 or 06/21/07 or 07/06/21. That is enough for me, although I am often half awake at sunrise, but bed and sleep get in the way. I worl outside all year round, I get tired and I sleep as close as I can to the alarm clock going off at 6.30 everyday of the year. |

That would be hard here.....during the summer, the sun barely sets before rising again. We don't even get dark right now.
What will you do on overcast days? We had no visible sunrise this morning due to a combination of clouds and smoke from the 18 wildfires going on in th valley right now. |

That would be most impressive. I'm rubbish at getting out of bed, the only way I get sunrise shots is by staying up all night, but I'd be happy to stay on the sidelines, cheer you on and comment on the pics :) Go, early morning photography enthusiasts, go salute the sun. |

The Milwaukee GTG was the first time in a long time I've been up to see the sun rise. Probably the last time for a long time also. I'm all for sunsets though.
You folks have fun and I look forward to see some stunning sunrise shots.
