thanks to the joy of preparing to sell the house, things are a little behind...
x-prizes for camera portraits...
cutout ooo, this one just makes me happy. the swooshing of the colours, the blur, the lights and darks, all combine to make a dramatic and fascinating image.
krnodil this is very cool indeed. the layers of viewing are superb, the tones and composition spot on. layers of photographic history, as it were.
mitalapo another very interesting image indeed. the blur and the deep sharpness contrast very well, and i love the depth of tone.

and the x-prizes for boats; a subject close to my heart...
cutout two x-prizes in a row. cool. this, like the camera portrait, has a wonderful feeling of disturbed light and dark. the textures, the colours, the blur, all work together extremely well. this piece creates an emotional reaction, not just on an aesthetic level, but a visceral level as well. an image not to analyse but to embrace and experience. well done indeed.
arngrimur ooo, lovely colours, tones, colours, o, and those colours... this is another that grabs you in the guts. the left side, so crisp and clean, the right a chaos of shadows and motion. the anarchy threatening to overtake the order. and those blues...mmmmm.....
Motek what in interesting, and well executed image. will it sound self-serving to say i saw what you did almost immediately? however, what you did was superb. the illusions created by the pool deck above water put the boat in a world of its own, a tiny little globe of water. o, and those colours... yes. o yes.
