Wow! Thanks. It did not score well but I love that a handful of people saw what I saw! Ben

Yeah, but it exceeded your goal of breaking the 5.0 barrier -- well done.

Nods to grigrigirl and goodman for top tens in Movie Titles (they were in my top ten as well). And a shout out to a few of my top tens that didn't make the top 50:

Thanks so much, yanko - this is the first award (apart from the brown ribbon!) I've received at dpc so it really means a lot.

wow, what a great selection of movie title images there are. i loved the challenge, and had a great time voting. it's a large x-prize selection today, as i just can't decide. a whole lotta people got top marks from me...

so, without further ado, unrecognised filmic genius.

InnerRastaman o, wow. this is just, wow. the subtlety of the figure, the long hair becoming a living thing, the harshness of the wood and white. an image you must look at carefully and well before understanding comes. then when it does, darkness and heat along with it. mmmmmm.

tcc not only is it a book i love (and movie i liked) but the image is wonderful. the colours, those golds and blues, the flecks of pigeon dust, are, well, lovely. the implied motion in the impact trace remind me greatly of Giacomo Balla's Dynamism of a Dog on a Leash. nicely done indeed.

dsray another wonderful movie and book, and a great evocation of feeling. the echoes of shapes and textures are superb. the known but unseen softness of the sheep and the seen softness of the hair; the solidity of the stone and the visual solidity of the sheep; the repetition of shapes with variation through the whole composition are so effective. the warm white tone makes the whole thing glow. yes, indeedy.

bspurgeon ooo, this is so cool. the birds created from submerged sticks. flight from death. the tones are disturbing, the effect nightmarish; this is not an easy image at all. well done indeed.

kashi the simplicity of the image is misleading; a lovely deep tonal study, subtle and strong. the line, relaxed and unused, implies less about fishing than meditation. a dark and deep image.

farfel53 one of the illustrative images that i really like. the effect is very well done, dark and grainy, threat pouring from the screen.

acoppola an image that whispers, but it can be heard over many others. the regularity of the windows, the light and dark, the hints of the horse, all combine to make a very powerful image. the composition works very well indeed.

figaro there's just something about the blurry figure going down stairs shots. they work so well. and this is a great example of one. these dark tones are lovely. the echoing bands of light complement each other perfectly.

THAT is exactly why I took the photo in the first place; I'm soooo glad someone got it! The title came later when I figured the sheep could be a visual pun. Again, thank you, you made my day.

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this site and I didn't get a chance to finish voting to make the 20% before the deadline...I'm still in the process of figuring out how everything works. Since I don't know much about the nuts & bolts of photography I'm not able to provide any technical suggestions. Having said that, I can and will let people know if I like their pics. I do know how much effort it takes to compose a shot and I also know what it feels like to submit a photo that I think is pretty good and it gets a lukewarm reception.
These are the photos that stand out for me in the Movie Titles II challenge (and I liked them all so it's tough for me to rate them as #1, #2 & #3):
