hello everyone..
recently i switched from point & shoot cameras to DSLR , i bought a kit of the digital rebel xti,unfortunately i can't figure out what's the specs of the lenses i bought :( it just says tamron 70-300mm,& there are many tamron 70-300mm outhere how can i know if it supports AF or it's max aperture !! ( i didn't receive the kit yet).

It's written around the barrel of the lens :). There should be something like:
f/4-5.6
on the lens some where, this is it's max aperture at the various focal lengths... Or you could check the equipment section of DPC (it's probably this lens)
And yes, that lens is AF. Most modern lenses are. |

thanks for your reply..but as i said before i have n't received the camera yet so i thought someone can know which lens is this by looking at it as am still new to dslr & knows just a little bit about lenses.

Here is a pretty good site for Canon lens. Just select all lens for the query field and scroll through the list.
