The winning photo in the "Pure..." challenge has been disqualified due to spot editing (specifically the use of dodge & burn tools). Congratulations to our new winners!

A few more of the winning images were disqualified in the "Pure" challenge. Congratulations to the new ribbon winners!

Please remember to keep originals, and to set your cameras to the correct time/date. It's terrible to have to disqualify images for mistakes like these.

It was quite inevitable that I would wind up in 4th. :)

Can't we DQ one more?

I'm pretty amazed that so many top shots have been given the heave-ho, what's up?

I'm losing track of what was originally what. Wasn't Pure Green the original 3rd place winner? But the DQs say another one was.

So 1st-4th were DQd. That's gotta be a new record.

And WOW were there a lot of DQs overall in this challenge.

one would imagine whether or not the images would have gotten away with it should they only ended up in positions after the 5th (no validation required)?

What not to do when you're in a hurry.

Save to disc to edit.
Swear you'll go back and download original when you have more time.
Forget all about it.
Shoot another day.

frankly, probably none of them. that said, i don't think any of them were blatant attempts to cheat . . . (well, except qart. you gotta watch that one. )
