WRT the age thing .....

I agree entirely that age has stuff all to do with anything at all here, it comes down to maturity.

I didn't realise there was a 16 yo on the SC, as it doesn't matter, so I had to go and look up who it was. I had no idea it was Ben, if I had to guess at Ben's age from his posts I'd have put him as someone older than myself, as he writes well and his views are well thought out.

Take away the age field in the profile and nobody could place an age on him, in fact he writes better than some other members of the SC and his posts, especially responses to issues on the forums, are always well thought out rather than fired off without much thought (and this is not a slur on the other SC members at all).

Good on ya Ben, keep up the great work and ignore any jibes about age ..... you probably make more sense than many of us as you haven't yet discoved the joys of alcohol ..... or have you ;) And, if you ever have any doubts of the effect of alcohol .... then check out Kiwi's profile ;)

Yeah, Ben, I think you sound old too. Really old.

Seems to be a huge difference in how concerned some people are with trying to comply with the rules. Sher was concerned enough that she DQ'ed herself when she didn't really have to; but maxpower, apparently, let his entry go through the voting process while worrying about his poor job of illegal editing.

I applaud the Site Council for their stepped-up efforts to out the cheaters. Thanks.

coolhar: maxpowers post you refer to here was a subsequent post. If you read from the beginning, you would see that he wasn't trying to get thru the voting unnoticed.

Well, when you have 16 year olds on the site council I tend to question their judgement sometimes.

When I was 16 I had pieces in art galleries, published short stories and played in the Canada Games. It's adult life that I question, not teenage-hood.

Just guessing here but I'd bet that you hadn't read this thread when you made the above post.
