Hi everyone,
I am very interested in making a triptych photo, but all the threads Ive read don't give step by step instructions. I have Photoshop CS3. I just dont' know where to start. Can someone please help me. Thank you.

create a big new image (big enough to fit three shtos) and paste the photos you wnat on it. create the new one and open the others then drag the background layer of each shot on the new one.

a little futher to elvis' post.

create a big blank document. really big. three times te width, plus, of your image. then open all three images you want to have as a triptych, and set all four open documents to the small setting (not full screen, not minimized). select the move tool. click on one of your images, holding down the shift button as you do. drag the image over to the blank document. your image will be duplicated on the blank document as a new layer.

you can also drag individual layers between documents as well - if you want to duplicate the colour treatments of one image to another.

have fun!

This site has a bunch of actions you can use in PS... there is one for making a triptych. Search down the page for Mike's Triptych Actions. It will do either landscape or portrait.

I don't think you can pick a frame, but you can probably play with it later. I used the action for this shot:
