I would venture a guess that if the lady in the image had the body of a model the comments made might be totally different, but I could be wrong.

Very ture. But since she doesn't have the body of a model her friends should have said no. The whole way up the street she ketpo asking her bf to pull her shorts out of her butt. All I could think is lady there isn;t enough material to do that!

Even with a body of a model it isn't appropriate IMO. I saw a girl the other day in Taco Bell where I had taken my step son (4 year old), she was tall - skinny as a rail & her shorts were so tight & small...her butt was literally hanging out much like the girl below. It was not cute..............................

She has a lot of curves but it might be little sister's shorts. ;-)

What is actually sad about this photo is this woman is in the US military and this is how she has chosen to represent herself to a foreign country. We are always told that we are ambassadors to countries that we visits and this is how she decided to show the people of South Korea that Americans act.

That doesn't seem to be discouraging the tailgaters from following too closely ...

Why is it any of our business how she dresses, aside from possibly representing the US in another culture that's sensitive to such things? But even then, did you think bad things about Koreans because a Korean killed all those people at VA Tech?

Congrats for perpetuating the terrible emotional baggage overweight people already deal with and telling them they should be ashamed of their bodies. Aside from genuine health concerns from people who actually are her friends, it's none of your business.

I guess only models should be allowed to wear revealing clothing? Or maybe some of you think we should go back to full-body clothing, regardless of body type? How about burkas?

Leave her alone and pray no one ever posts a pic of you ridiculing you for your choices.

Lest anyone write me off as being sensitive to this because I'm obese, a quick persual of my self-portraits will correct that misconception.

As I read it, the O.P. is referring to the way she's dressed....?

What really makes me laugh are people who wear their pants so they're falling down, like her boyfriend appears to be. At least his shirt is over his underwear. It seems the 'stylish' thing for some folks. I always have to control an overwhelming urge to pull the guy's pants down when I see them. It'll probably get me into trouble someday.

I was talking to a friend a while back who has a son who subscribes to this style. His son was helping him move some boxes, and had the droopy-drawer style going on, so they kept falling down. His dad said none of his friends would see him, so it would be OK if he pulled his pants all the way up, but the kid wouldn't.... sheesh.

And the way you are representing the US in this thread is any better? I'm pretty sure that your CO wouldnt approve of this.

Somehow we have to figure out a way to get suspenders back in style ... maybe if they were leather with metal studs or disguised as bandoliers ... : (

The woman in the photo is well proportioned. I can make anyone look bad depending on the angle I shoot from... It is up to me to make people look as good as I can possibly make them look. My beautiful talented grand daughter has been tormented for years .... not kind.

No it wouldnt have, instead it would have been made into a print, put under the Nude category and had 10k views by now.

While deep down my overweight self would love to agree with you on some level, I simply cannot. I appreciate the hassles us overweight people have to put up with, I really do but I also believe that people should dress according to their body shape. I am about a quarter of her size and I would not in a million years even dream of putting on some shorts like that. I know I wouldn't look good in it and I know that people would stare for all the wrong reasons. Yes, you are free to wear as you please but you also have to be ready to take on the critisism. One thing that always gets me is why some women think that the bigger they are the tighter and smaller their clothes have to be. Not all of us have the body of a model and therefore we shouldn't try to dress like them. Mind you, not that model would be caught dead wearing such a dreadful outfit.

So my point is, us bigger ladies can and should dress sexy while still being appropriate. What she is wearing does not look sexy on her, it looks trashy. Overweight people should not be ashamed of their bodies, on the contrary, they should learn to appreciate it and to wear clothes that enhance their features in a postive way.

Just my 2 cents.

Hmm, let's see, we got a drunk girl stumbling down the street with half her ass hanging out, and the people who giggle about it are the ones who are wrong?

Seems to me it's less about body type and more about a public service announcement to "Don't Be That Girl."
