Here we go . . .

This is the thread for posting shots in the "Ordinary Objects" Thirty Day Photo a Day Side Challenge.

Here are the rules (they're really more like guidelines):

1. Photos should be of ordinary objects, and may be of the same object over and over (hopefully not in the identical position, etc.), of similar objects, or whatever you please; just take something ordinary and make it interesting visually;
2. Amount of processing (if any) is up to you, but please do tell us what you've done;
3. Images should be posted on the day they are taken (no raiding your portfolio for images to use); this is true even if you get behind and post six images at once; all six should be taken on the day you post them (again, this is a guideline - ignore it if you need to so that the challenge works for you);
4. Participants may join and leave at any time; anyone wishing to be punished for starting late or leaving early should pm me and I'll work something out, but be careful, I'm wicked ;)

The challenge runs from 12:01am on 1 June 2007 to 11:59pm on 30 June 2007, DPC server time (which is U.S. Eastern Daylight Savings Time); please, no posts before official start time (late posts are allowed; the thread will live until everyone is done with it).

The discussion thread (now closed or closing) is here.

The following have said they participating at the start of the challenge -- if you join late or if I missed you on the list, just pm me and I'll put you in, not that it matters, it's not even in the guidelines that you have to be listed here :)

Remember: you don't need to pm me to join; just join. You can pm me if you want to be on the list, but as there's nothing important about the list, only do that if you want to! Otherwise, just join in by posting!

Most of all, this is supposed to be fun, to help you work on what you want to work on, and because I'm greedy: I want to see ordinary objects the way you see them, and to show you a bit of what I see when I look around.

Most of all: Enjoy, and thanks for playing.

Best,

Rob

Theresa,

Welcome! To post your image, just do this: above the "reply" box is a row of icons; the second from the right is the thumbnail icon. Click on it, and a box will open on top of the page. Put in the digits from your image page (in your case, 525581). Then click okay. It will add the code and text to your post. You can also just type [ thumb]525581[ /thumb] (without the space after the first bracket) and it works the same way.

Here is how your image will look after you've done this:

Hope that helps!

Best,

Rob

Hi everyone, Due to my Canon camera is still at he repairs, I decided not do this one, even though I want to.
My little Kodak isn't taking th type of shots I like, re this challenge. I wanted to stay with everyday objects, but up close.

I will try and enter some occasionally, especially when and if I ever get my Canon camera back.

We have received the quote, so hopefully, it eon't be long now.....

I will definately leave some comments, thats for sure..... All the best, and enjoy the challenge. I look forward to seeing the results.....

OK, this tipped the scales for me to become a member. Here is the basic image of my object for the entire month. I'll try to come up with as many variations as I can using this object.
