Seems like lots of people didn't understand my entry for the selective desaturation-challenge, didn't know where the dust and the haircross came from. Some found it distracting, and I can't blame them. I think it's a matter of taste.

I used my Hasselblad to shoot through. The HB was pointing at the model with the viewfinder opened, and I set my digital cam on a tripod, horizontal (check this thread ;)) with the cam aiming down, and shot with my cam through the viewfinder.

I knew this wasn't done before on DPC in challenges (if so, not a lot of time used) and it was fun to see the result. I thought it wouldn't score good at all, because it's not sharp, it's dirty, but I'm surpristed it got a high-5s score.

Thanks all for the wonderful comments, I had a fun week!

That's pretty clever. I'm glad you posted this thread because reading your photographer comments I didn't get that you actually shot through the Hasselblad.

@ Lisa: thanks *blush* don't do that every time! ;)

@ Yanko: I used "ttv" there. changed it to "through the viewfinder" now, so it's a bit more clear. thanks!

I really liked this one, I loved the old feel to it. Very creative way of setting up a shot.

I think that was a great idea!

I don't have a viewfinder camera to use that way, but I tried something a bit similar using two digital cameras with this one ... Bunny ears ...

I really like your picture and personally think it deserved a higher score.
