At long last, I have finally got my very first camera out today, my trusty "Kodak DX6490", to take some photos of our tropical rainforrest garden, and one also of our home here in Caloundra, Queensland, Australia.

I hope you enjoy these as much as I did taking them. I do have one little secret, which won't be a secret for long, as i am going to share it with you.

As you know, my "Canon" camera is still away being fixed, so had to get out my "Kodak", which worked beautifully. I still have to wear my brace for another 6 weeks, and as yet, until today, haven't ventured outside, down a flight of 12 steps, plus a slight decline parthway, to our backyard rainforrest garden.

Well, all went well, until I forgot to lift my feet, and yes, I fell like a rolly polly, flat on my face in the woodchips. Thank goodness I was wearing my body brace, but I did manage to save my Kodak camera.

Well, I hope you like the photos, and please enjoy our little piece of paradise, we call "Castaways".

Beautiful garden you have out there, Shez. Thanks for sharing! I'm glad to hear that your new fall didn't do any damage - to you or your camera - get well soon. :)

Hi Shez glad you enjoyed your 'trip' in your garden! Love the photos. Looks like an ideal place for nasty creepy crawling things!

you have an absolutely beautiful place! I would love to have a nice little house.....apartments are so stuffy! And a jungle on the balcony doesnt really work all too well :-)

all great shots with wonderful colors but, like i commented, lose those pretty frames. They look great on a wall, but for here, id rather see the pictures as big as possible.

Wow - what a place you have, Shez! Gorgeous - I especially love those big ferns. I'm not surprised you are a good gardener. The layout looks splendid.
