I'll take my 15 minutes of fame wherever I can get it, and in this case, it's being a photo-editor for Escondido Magazine.

DPC member Nick Morris, aka jtf6agent had an assignment to shoot some work for Escondido Magazine, to feature the weekly car show downtown, Cruising Grand, and the event founder, Steve Waldron.

Nick brought me a whole pile of RAW images from a MKII to see if I could salvage anything, and turned
--into-->
and in full gloss on the magazine cover, well, it looks awesome!

Inside the magazine, the article used a shot Nick took under the Yellow Sodium lights (UGH!), and even in RAW, is a major pain.
--into-->
(involved desaturating the jeans, and skin and recoloring by hand)

At the show last night, I went up and introduced meyself to Steve Waldron, and in his words,
"So you're the guy that made me look so good".
ROFL.

Later on in the evening, I spotted him cruising by:

OK, so it's not THAT big of a deal, but cool regardless, and certainly a foot in the door that I didn't have before, and both images used have both of our names for the photo credit.

Well take it as a compliment. You are by far one of the most successful 'pp' editors on this site. I see you work many peoples images to help them...and I see little thanks a lot of the time. There are many awesome photographers and editors on this site and I think many go unnoticed.

Its about time people started taking notice of what they really have right here in front of them...and instead of just taking advantage of them....start appreciating those members....before they all disappear.

Well you don't see my PayPal account balance now do you? :P

Actually, I run across pics on the site and get inspired to fix them, without being asked, and guess I should learn to mind my own business more. Guess if I can't take good shots myself, I'll just go and fix other people's pics.

Oh and btw - Thanks!
