A. An old man, a donkey, and a little boy were going into town. The little boy, realizing the old man would tire easily, suggested he ride the donkey. They passed some townspeople who remarked, loudly, that it was incredibly ridiculous that a man should be riding and a boy having to walk. So, they switched. The next group of people commented that that was just like the youth of today. where has respect for the elders gone? So, they both got on the donkey. A bit later, they past another group who complained that that poor animal was having to bear the burden while the humans relaxed. So, the man and the boy, carried the donkey to the nearest bridge, threw the donkey off, and went back home.

B. Just looking at that thing, it seems it would be easier to maintain balance and control with the stroller in front. Also, it seems safer for the baby. I don't know about any of your kids, but mine learned to crawl out, even if they were "securely fastened" (like securely means squat to an 18 mos old), and if I were pulling them behind me, they could unfaster, climb out and get hurt, and I wouldn't know it until it was too late.

C. She could always get a Hummer for her transportation needs. That would be safe for the baby.

My only thought is that I could make a killing machining some custom attachments for those ride-behind kid-carriers that you hook up to bikes.

That would only work if the Segway was POPULAR, which so far it doesn't seem to be...

I saw some guy with a gold-colored Segway getting off the plane in Frankfurt coming from Dubai. He had on lot's of diamonds and gold and had a hot little Asian girlfriend with blond hair who sounded really really stupid. They just looked really odd and I could just envision them snorting lines in their limo. They were like living comic book characters -- or something out of a Quentin Tarantino film. I thought of all you talented photographers. You could have really taken some great shots of them because they were so odd-looking. Who's that guy who took the picture of the naked woman covered in American cheese slices? He could really have done something with them without even really having to try.

She may work for Segway and has a genius idea on how to get free marketing... To me though, as a mom... I'd never put my child in a stroller then jump on one of these things & cruise around town in it.. It's not safe, no matter how you justify it.. The kid isn't wearing a helmut & neither is she.. These things have a max speed of 12 mph or something like that and at those speeds, if she hits something that causes her to fall off, the kid goes flying & can easily get hit by another car or fall out of the stroller & hit her head..

I wonder why you guys freaked out on the person posting this.. I see what they're showing and to me, it was obvious it's not safe..Maybe that's all the person posting this is trying to show.. He/she didn't buy this lady the Segway, ask her to cruise this child around in it & then photograph it so we can all debate if it's right or wrong.. The person who posted the 2nd comment is who JUMPED TO THE CONCLUSION this was somehow a debate on health & laziness.. Dang, makes me never want to start a thread or show a funny, sad, horrible, scary, interesting, beautiful, shocking or just plain stupid image to anyone on here because of these ridiculous debates that follow..
How this turned into a topic on laziness & medical conditions blows me away as much as this persons ease when it comes to the safety of that child..

And, what's even more amazing is that very few see this image & think... HMmmm, that's not exactly a bright idea.. I mean, would you hold your arm out of your drivers side window & push your child along the street while sitting up in their stroller at 10 mph.. lol.. I think & it's only imho that's what the poster is trying to say..

BTW.. I get the whole smiley face at the end of a comment which to me is the international sign for.. "I'm making a funny here"... And, I'm American, which must be so shocking since that remark didn't spark even the slightest bit of emotion from me..
