Ever clicked on "My Profile", scrolled down to your "challenge entries" and clicked on the % bar? How do you view your percentages overall? Try viewing your percentages like this:
1. Number of Entries in the Top 10%
2. Number of Entries in the Top 20%
3. Number of Entries above 50%
4. Number of Entries in the Bottom 10%
5. Quirky Percentages in your Profile
For my current profile with 79 entries overall:
1. 7 entries in top 10% (including 4 top ten and one ribbon)
2. 12 entries in top 20%
3. 36 entries in top 50%
4. 17 entries in bottom 10% (including 8 intentional "browns")
5. Odd % facts: DQ'd three times in 79 entries.

Top 10% - 1
Top 20% - 5
Top 50% - 16
Bottom 10% - 6 (5 of them were in the first 2-3 months I was on here)
55 challenges entered btw.

You will have to do a lot of math to get your real overall %. I may try to come up with a macro to do that in excel.
My stats are:
Top 10% - 7 (7.44%)
Top 20% - 16 (17.02%)
Top 50% - 54 (57.45%)
Bottom 10% - 0
DQ's - 0
Total Entries - 94

Top 50% - 15 (75%)
Bottom 10% - 0

Total Entries - 20

Top 10% - 39 (45%)
Top 20% - 54 (62%)
Top 50% - 82 (94%)
Bottom 10% - 0 (0%)
Total Entries - 87
Only 13% of those top 10% entries won a ribbon. I wonder who has the best and worst percentage like that.

top 10%-2 (3%)
top 20%-9 (11%)
top 50%-33 (36%)
bottom 10%-5 (6%) one intentional brown and almost a year since any of the others.

OK, now you had to go and make me do it...
Top 10% - 63 (50%)
Top 20% - 23 (68% cumulative)
Top 50% - 33 (95%)
Bottom 50% - 6 (100%)
Total - 125
If you want to see something sick go look up Gary ( kiwiness) a full 70% of his 91 entries are Top 10%...

Only 16 challenges to date:
1. 5 in the Top 10% (31%)
2. 8 in the Top 20% (50%)
3. 14 above 50% (87.5%)
4. 0 in the Bottom 10%
5. My two worst entries 28% and 38% are my first and second to last entries by date.

| Sorry - probably the wrong place but from this thread I went to look at my percentages and I have one last place (brown) but, never got the virtual ribbon for it. How do you get those. Not that its something to be proud of or anything but well you know. |

Maybe rather than me being unlucky, Shannon is just lucky. I always compare myself to him. He has over twice as many ribbons (35) to me (15), yet I have almost three times as many fourth place finishes (8) as him (3). Go figure that...
His top 10% ribbon rate is 35%.

Here's mine
total challenges 70
39 in top 10% - 55.7%
52 in top 20% - 74.2% ( cum )
63 in top 50% - 90% ( cum )
1 in bot 10% - 1.4%
I have 9 ribbons in 39 top 10% with 22 top 10 (actual position)
ribbon % is then 9/39 = 23%

Ahh, the power of statistics and how a few outlying values can skew things. 44% of my top 10% entries ribboned, yet only 16% of my entries are top 10%. 80% of the entries that made the top 10 in a challenge won a ribbon.
Both of my entries that sit in the bottom 10% of challenges were attempts at humour that fell very very flat. Note to self: stop trying to be funny
