Uh, nothing, I guess I was confusing it with the "Last Ten Posted-T" list, where it also might be ... way at the bottom of the page.

Thanks for adding the 'manage my team' link in the League section!

Hey Langdon, First thank you for all you have done on this site and the WPl, I was wondering if under the manage my team section if it would be possible to add a thumbnail of the photos for each of the team members who are in a challenge that week. That way the captains can encourage the their teammates who have yet to enter to do so.

Thanks again!

Not sure if this has been asked. When there are two basic editing challenges to choose from, does it matter if we have the total 4 entered in one of them? I was just wondering if 2 or 3 enter one and 2 or 3 enter the other one, will they take both of them and use them as one score? Or are we considered not having entered a tournament challenge because we did not meet minimum on either one?

Hi Junie,

The team just needs to have at least 4 entries in any of the three challenges during a DPL week. It doesn't matter which challenge is entered. If less than 4 entries for the team are submitted, that's when the 0's start getting averaged in.

HTH.

So, if 2 of the team members put entries in both the member and the open, that would count as 4 entries, rather than the highest of the 2 counting for the individual?

What if all members enter into both? Are the highest scores taken or average of all?

Forgive me if these have already been answered.

No, it has to be 4 entries from 4 separate members.

One more clarification. If you have met minimum on advanced and met minimum on basic, only the top 4 scores of all the challenges count in the standings? So if we enter both challenges in one week, then in the next week enter none, would the first basic challenge that our members entered into go for the next week? Sorry if I am confused. I know what I mean. Perhaps I didn't make it fully clear.

Not quite. A team can have up to 7 members. Of those, 4 individual members should have at least one entry in any of the three challenges (Member challenge or one of the two Open challenges). If one individual enters two challenges, only their highest score between the two counts for the team.

If one individual does not enter any challenges during a DPL week, the team can still avoid a 0 getting factored into the team score *as long as* at least 4 of the other team members have entered at least one challenge during that same DPL week.

Each team member gets two chances to score for their team. If they enter once, only that score will be considered -- if it is one of the 4 highest that score will count. If they enter twice, the highest score for that individual between the two entries gets considered, and if one of those two scores is one of the 4 highest for the team that score will count.

Scores are evaluated by individual first, then by team.

Okay I hope this helps you all understand it.

Team Googlies

1 - Bob
2 - Phil
3 - Mickey
4 - June
5 - Wonderboy
6 - Donald
7 - Jerry Lewis

Week 1 -Bob, Phil, Donald and Jerry Lewis all enter 1 or 2 challenges. They have got 4 scores, therefore they have met their requirements of 4 scores and the highest score from each of the four members are then added to the list and are used for the team average for the week.

Week 2 - June, Wonderboy and Donald enter 1 or 2 challenges each. They only have 3 scores therefore they have not met their critieria. The highest score from each of the three members are then added to the list and a 0 is recorded as the fourth score.

Week 3 - Bob, Phil, Mickey, June, Wonderboy, Donald and Jerry Lewis....all enter at least one challenge each. They have 7 scores...therefore the highest score from each person is then added to the list and the four highest scores of the team are used for the team average.

Does that help.

No, only the top 4 scores count each week. If you have no one enters the following week, your average will be 0.000.

A DPL week runs longer than a challenge week - I think that is where you are getting confused. A DPL week is 9 days, and the second DPL week overlaps when the Sunday Member challenge is announced.

Sunday - member challenge - beginning of DPL week 1.

Tuesday - open challenge - still part of DPL week 1.

Next Sunday - member challenge, beginning of DPL week 2 (while voting for the open challenges that were part of week 1 is still going on)

Next Tuesday - open challenge - DPL week 1 ends at rollover, new challenges are part of DPL week 2 which actually started two days earlier on Sunday.

At no time does any particular challenge count for more than one week of DPL activity.

Your best bet is to have all team members enter as many challenges as they can. Members can enter two each week. That way you'll be sure to get enough entries in, and you'll have more chances for higher scores.

Thanks for the info. I did not know that the dpl week ran 9 days. That cleared all my questions up. I am glad to know that if I miss a few challenges, there may still be enough entered with other members of the team to cover my lazy butt.

I'm not sure where to put this, but since Week One just started voting, this seemed like the best place. Is there/will there be a way to see either our teammates scores or our team average in the results box on the Home Page or on the league page?

I know. It just adds one more Update Button Addiction...

actually i was thinking, if it would be possible to see the team average and the average of the team we are facing , sort of live score between teams, like in basketball or something, i think that would be niceeeeeeeee , especially if the results are very close:)

Yea that would be nice to see your team’s real time average with the update button. Don't know how feasible that would be...but having your team’s scores wouldn't be that hard. We are all stating our scores in the private threads anyways...not like we need to keep that secret from our own team.
