Internet people are so odd nowadays.
He could've atleast put a little effort into his scam.
You know.. Decorated the email.. Discluded the yahoo address.. Used fancy words.

Still, bothers me when there are scammers about.
I hope nobody else falls for one of these.

They do, sadly.
Last year I had someone call the lottery outlet where I worked. She had fallen for one of those that tells you you've won big, then charges you in several stages to claim your "winnings". She wanted to know why we (BCLC) hadn't sent her her money yet.
When I explained it to her, she said, "So I guess I'm out $3600?"

Very sad.

Who uses certified cheques unless u'r going to enter into some major major transaction. Tell them to western union the money to u or to open a savings account and use a visacheck card to pay u. Whats the point of buying a certified cheque anyway, dont u need a bank a/c to acquire one? At least in jamaica u do.

Were i in u'r position, i would give them an automated redirection to the companies terms of service.
I WOULD NOT EVEN WASTE MY TIME

I get these requests once every 4 months at least

This is what Yahoo Answers has to say about this email. (it's not good.)

Usually, if you Google the name of the person or a catchy phrase in the email, you can get a quick answer as to whether or not the thing is legit. BTW, a 415 land line area code for South San Francisco hasn't been valid for a long number of years.

Apart from an interest in photography, I also sell art online. I had an email from James Moore, agrotrading01@yahoo.ca. I ran the email address through Yahoo and it came up with a blacklisting by a software firm called jwspamspy. It doesn't seem to say why the blacklisting exists but anyone interesed might want to enter jwspamspy onto Yahoo and see for themselves.
I can't see how the scam works if there is one. My one is a sale of art for ten grand plus shipping, with me arranging the shipping and them sending me an international money order for the articles prior to shipping. I am very interested in any advice from other forum users.

Ah I understand now. I have advised the would be purchaser that I am not taking any further part in any transactions. I would be interested tho if anyone else had dealt with same successfully to them.
Regards
