I don't want anyone to freak out and start to worry so I thought I'd write a quick note to you all.. Di (my mom) fell down the stairs at her house today and broke her left wrist and her right ankle.. The doctors don't know if she is going to need surgery on either break but he didn't sound promising.. we'll know more after we go in later this week to see the orthopedic surgeon.. I'll make sure to keep you all posted :)

so far she seems to be in good spirits and is doing what the doctors have told her to do.. I'll make sure she gets to a computer to check her e-mails (she's staying with me) if you wanted to send her wishes :)

Oh no! I hope she gets well soon. So many DPCers seem to be getting hurt lately, it's so unfortunate.

Best Wishes!

Ouch! I hope that the joints don't require any surgery. Like BMoon said, it seems that a lot of DPC'ers have been falling lately. I see that Di is a Fuji owner too. I hope that her wrist will be strong enough for shooting pics again soon.
Wishing you a quick recovery Di. I hope that you are right handed. Looks like you have a good daughter nearby who will be helping you as you heal, and that is a good thing.
Thanks for letting us know Kaelva.

Hope she is right handed so she can still take photos after the initial pain/shock and bruising wear off.

That's good news about not needing surgery! (At least for now...)

I'm thinking duct tape and a broom handle might work....

Missed this thread yesterday. Glad to hear you're all right. Hope you don't need the surgeries but the docs know best.
