Lookin' good!!!

Hi Ladies,

Thank you for inviting me to join your group. I am looking forward to making the Femme Fatale's a team to be reckoned with!

I have enjoyed my time here at DPC and have learned a great deal.
Most importantly, I have learned getting a 10 is a 'pipe dream' but still worth trying for;). I am happy receiving various input from other members and hearing new views and perspectives. I am, however, not one to live by the so called 'Rules of Photography'. I believe them to be a good guide, but hey, 'Rules' are meant to be broken. Why limit one's vision and sense of 'seeing'!

Photography is my passion which started about 25 years ago when I got my first real camera. It helps me unwind and gives me personal fullfillment. I enjoy photographing a wide range of subject matter and keep an open mind to new visual interpretations.

When I'm not photographing, I am at work selling Harley's. Motorcycling is another life long passion. I hope to someday combine the two with a cross country photo jaunt.

I am looking forward to getting to know you all. I am off to take a peek at your portfolio's in hopes to learn more about each and every one of you.

Cheers, Ingrid

hiya ladies!!!!

Hanae, Aimee...your always part of our team, in my heart/mind/soul.

Present team roster: Me love u long time! :-)

I just found the new thread, sorry haven't replied earlier. I hate to make false promises...BUT..I sho gonna try for that 6.0+ shot this season. HOWEVER, the thing I love MOST about this team is the inspiration and love we try to give one another about staying true to who we are and not just doing "eye candy" shots. I've never had ONE MOMENT as part of this team that I EVER saw/heard any negativity.

A rose is a rose is a rose and so is a dead skunk :-) capt T can relay THOSE stories to the new folks :-)

Love to all...got run do jumpin jacks with 4 classes...love to all,
S

Talj, thank you for the invitation and the kind welcome, too! Nice to meet all the other members, too!
It is just little by little that I get to understand the whole league thing! Sometimes I wondered about all the strange xxx-team postings at the forums but haven¡¦t really bothered to find out! Mostly I just posted a photo into a challenge here and there and enjoyed looking at the other photos in the same challenge!
Well, I¡¦ll try to say a bit more about myself¡K. Middle-aged, two almost adult daughters, yes, I am married and living in Japan. Although my home country is originally Germany, we have so far lived the life of corporate nomads, changing countries every few years.
Photography has not been one of my hobbies until recently. Taking photos always seemed so instant and serving the purpose of not forgetting a certain event or person¡K And film was expensive and taking it for processing annoying.
When digicams appeared about 9 or 10 years ago, that was a whole new story! It did take some time to get used to the idea, that I could actually have a complicated camera myself and try to take some ¡§artistic¡¨ pictures of the kind that I admired over the years in exhibitions or photo books.
Since I am taking photos just for the sake of taking nice photos about 2 years ago, I went through the whole cycle of trying out all the ways of digital manipulating, to only doing minimal PP at all. Right now I am exploring all the settings of my camera. It will be a long way until I¡¦ll reach the level of my camera ƒÂº and can fully take advantage of all its possibilities.
As for subjects ¡V I like everything, especially Macro shots and colorful things or scenes, the stray cats that come to visit, rusty stuff and interesting textures¡K
My weaknesses are people shots and composing still life type of scenes. But one cannot be good at everything, right?
Greetings from Nagoya, where the day is over already,
tama

we gonna kick some bootay

An absolutely gorgeous day outside. Of course, I am inside. Supposedly, I am doing all of my end of the year paperwork for my community college classes, but I'm having a hard time staying focused. Imagine that.

Gotta run for now!

I took the day off to deliver some photos to a salon that displays my work. I was thrilled to find that she had sold 2 prints. Yeah,

And to say we are in different timez zones is an understatement. We are from all over the world, which is very cool.

Off to pretend I am making dinner..

Congratulations on the sales Karen!

Welcome Tama :) Had a browse through your portfolio and think your work is outstanding. Very pleased to have you as part of our team!

So now that we're officially a whole team again, are we still interested in trading cards?

If yes, then I'll redo them for us and Karen, Tama and Ingrid can post an image here that they'd like on theirs.

Hey Karen,

You need to go to My Preferences and then on the left handside you should see a box for Forum Signature. If you then place the following code minus the **

[**img]//images.dpchallenge.com/images_portfolio/45475/orig/404426.jpg[/img]

and click save at the bottom of the page then you should be done!

@ Rina, trading cards sounds like a good plan! :o) If Karen, Tama and Ingrid want to let Rina know the picture of themselves or from their profile that they'd like to use as their trading card that would be great! :o) Of course Karma, Sonya and Rina, feel free to change your cards too! :o)

If you need to know what last seasons trading cards looked like just check out my signature :o)

Thanks,

Natalya :o)

Greetings sisters! I'm feeling homesick for the Femmes so I'm dropping in for a visit. I so wish I was rallying for the fight with you guys but realistically I made the right decision to sit out. I'm so pleased to see that you have a great team set for the first DPL season. Looks like some excellent new additions who will fit right in. You new ladies hit the jackpot when you signed up to join these fine photographers - they are a solid bunch of fun, supportive, wonderful women. You are going to love it and you will do great! ROCK ON FEMMES!!

With love, Your Biggest Fan!!!!
