Quite true. My score is a full point lower than I expected it to be, which is not entirely unexpected. I was thinking this one was going to be a 6.3-6.5 and I'm lucky if it will even impact my average.
But that's my fault and not theirs. Thanks to everyone who's commented. Even the guy that questioned if my subject counted as hair. Comments are a wonderful thing. |

No, No- nobody is sucking here !!! If you took the time to photograph & edit an image for a challenge , then it has merit...you are'nt going to enter anything that "sucks". I always find your images interestng & usually quite beautiful.
My own entry is the best thing I've ever done- but I doubt my score will reflect that- I am happy with it and just like to see what other opinions are.... |

Be sure to take a picture of that for us... I have an idea of how to set that up if you want it ;-)
Seriously, you're a fantastic photographer. One of the few true artists here. I always love your work because it never seems to pander to the stock-heavy DPC aesthetic.

Jutilda - not only are you a super photographer, but you consistently comment on others' work and have a fantastic attitude about the whole thing. definitely not the traits of someone who sucks.

Just adding my criteria for voting on this challenge (this is the second time im doing this btw)
Im looking not only for a picture of something/someone that has hair, but a picture in which the first thing i think is "Hair!"
Do others agree with this? |

Dang! I have a small block of time this morning and thought I'd vote on this challenge. What a mistake. :/ First page of thumbnails comes up and two nudes cause a hasty retreat and browser history/cache scrub.

| Yo, kolasi, I was going to agree with you, but thought Not just hair but "something" hair - fabulous, freaky... But then again, hair can be a concept - a few entries come to mind, about which a picture/story-picture can be built without the hair getting in your face so to speak. Not by hair alone... But talk is cheap; my own entry is heading for another brown. |
