If this holds, it will be a personal brown, and not even by a small margin. It's certainly enough to wreck my 5.6 scoring average, which I considered a small personal accomplishment when it finally edged over two weeks ago. It's not a sub-4 image. Maybe not a 6, but definitely NOT a 3.x. It is not even close to being worse than my three worst entries. What hurts most is that if people are seeing what the one comment says, then they're just wrong, and not by a matter of opinion but by the laws of physics. And I can't explain that any further to anyone without giving away my entry. I never turn off my scores, because I'm a grown-up and I can handle it when I get a 5.x, boo hoo. But I might have to turn this one off to preserve my sanity. It's totally demoralizing.

Oh my word...I'm sorry if I offended someone, but If someone is going to give me a "1" right after I got an "8", it seems rather insensitive that they do not leave a comment to explain why. I always thought "1"'s were for DNMC....but I guess my voting standards are higher than that.
And yes, I have had a long day. :{
And voters, you aren't idiots...but giving "1's" for something that clearly meets the challenge is a little harsh...eh? |

98% of the images directly meet challenge a few are a minor stretch, maybe 1 dnmc but not sure because i have not and wont be handing any out. |

Yes and getting low votes on yet another under rated image of mine is putting me in a bad mood! |
Breathe deep, count to ten and go turn off scores while voting on Landscapes. :P |

Stuff voting on them theres too many, plus Im over the icelandic landscapes

I have not voted yet - just scanned thru. There are a lot of really good ones in this challenge. And some good ones that don't look like they went too heavy with the expert editing. I look forward to voting in this one.

I dont. In fact there are plenty of entries that dont look like expert editing was used that are a hell of alot better then half of the ones that did. |

| Well the scores are going a lot better than my night scores... lol. That is the first image I did like, and didn't regret entering that did SOOOO poorly. It's amazing! hah. |

Wondering why you asked this question. Please share.
However, my comment came from the fact that I expected all kinds of manipulations (a la the infamous VANISH challenge) since Expert Editing was available. I was happy to see that Expert Editing did not make everyone feel like they HAD to use it. I used it because I wanted to practice since PP is not my forte.
To answer your question, I have already seen some incredibly good photos that obviously used the expert editing, and some to me that might NOT have used as much editing. My scoring is based on whether the image conveys the challenge topic to me well or not.
Hopefully I answered the question - it's late and I may be rambling.

good because i only did what woudl be legal in advanced editing, no expert done at all |
