I'd be curious to know how many folks have had photo sales at dpcprints that were NOT the result of one of your own or another member's referal. In other words, how many photos have you sold to completely unrelated and seemingly random customers? (no fair using friends and family for this answer :-D )
I've personally had one sale to a customer who did not use any referals and who I did not know.
As a corallary to this question, if you've had a sale like this, was it a photo that had been "featured" at dpcprints? I'm curious as to what kind of effect being featured has on sales.

I've sold one photo which was not referred. I'm not sure however if my particular photo was 'featured' on DPC Prints though. Nonetheless, I'm just happy that someone out there bought one of my prints!!!

I have sold 12 of mine, 7 without referral. 11 referral credits. 5 I bought, and 6 were unknown.
As for featured prints...I don't know. I have seen 3 of my pics up on the featured prints, but only one has sold.
I think being sure to add "key" keywords is probably most helpful when someone searches for something specific.

I've sold only 4, so far.
My fisrt on the very fisrt day of a mass mailing (to friends and family). I thought to myself: "woohoo!" and started planning for my retirement......
Alas, I did not sell another for several months, until my boss bought one. Then nothing until 2 unrefered ones in the space of 24 hrs just a few weeks ago. 1 of them was a featured print.

| I've sold six so far. I have no idea who bought them. One shot won a ribbon, so I guess that one got some exposure. |

I saw some pictures on DPC prints, unfortunately my country has hard exchange tax to allow me to buy something by now. But I had some question about to be a seller:
As selles, hadn´t you a report of general monthly sales of DPC Prints? Somothing like a total number of ordered prints (not only your prints) or any else? |
