Here is what is posted on Apple Insider.

"While Leopard's features will be complete by June, the Cupertino-based company said it cannot deliver the quality release expected by its customers within that time. Apple now plans to show its developers a near final version of Leopard at the conference, give them a beta copy to take home so they can do their final testing, and ship the software in October."

NOOOOOOOO I don't think I can wait any longer. I want to make the switch to a MAC now! I have been waiting patiently for the last 2 months but I don't think I can wait.

So buy a Mac! There's absolutely nothing wrong with 10.4 - the most modern OS on any platform!

I ordered my Mac yesterday. I thought for sure that I would see the release of leopard 31 days after I ordered. Looks like I made the right call. I will upgrade the OS probably for the New Year. Will cost me another $129 or so.

Well THAT sucks! I've been waiting for the next round of hardware upgrades to come out... preferably with Leopard installed. I can't be the only one who was holding out, and Apple can't wait until Fall to release new hardware, so I suspect they'll announce an OS upgrade path for people who buy new machines before October. I just hope one of those machines is a desktop form factor, with separate video, for less than the Mac Pro behemoths.

lol I am huge mac nerd/junkie I can wait it out... no problem I'd rather them not rush it and not have enough copies or something is wrong.... I am planning on adding another mac at home also but I will probably just go ahead and buy one and then just hope apple will ship me an upgrade thats what they did before when I brought my last mac right before a new OS came out

You mean to tell me that releasing a bugy, patch on the fly OS isn't how every company should operate? Something must surely be wrong with Apple's core business model.
