Hey all,

With spring run off happening soon, I was thinking if there was interest maybe some of us could get together and head up to No. Conway for some waterfalling?

Let me know if there is interest...

Let me know.

Depending on the dates, count me in as well!

I might be interested if the date worked out for me, but your thread title asks if only those in NH are interested :(

Kidding aside, I would actually consider flying up there if the dates worked out right. I love shooting waterfalls (I build them too) and I love to travel. April's full with the St. Augustine GTG on the 6th and 7th, and the Red Rock GTG on the 25th-30th. May sounds good though.

I may be available on July 22nd (Sunday). Coming up for a week of vacation and staying in Moultonborough, NH near Lake Winnipesaukee.

How far is it to Conway?

edit: I was way off.

I would be coming from the West - North Woodstock area.

Not very far, Somewhere in the 30 to 45 minute range. I looked it up on mapquest.

Really easy to get to also.

I am glad I posted this, looks like there is some insterest.

I will also try to come up with a few ideas on where we we can shoot for discussion in the next few days as well.

Bump for morning crowd... Hopefully we can reach more people and get an annual GTG going up in the Northeast.

Not sure if you've seen this, but it's a great guide to waterfalls across the NE, and beyond.

Which falls were you thinking of shooting at?

Yes I have this website and use it often, I was hopeing to at least start a Ripley falls. Maybe Crystal Cascades and a few others, nothing to definate yet as I amtrying to map things about so they are relitivly close to one another. I am also open to suggestions if you would like to suggest one that is of interest.

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a sunrise or sunset shot on Artist bluff that is also in the area.

I am confirming for either of the 2 day listed Let me know who else is interested.

Wow, North Conway is a ways out there! I just checked Mapquest, and it has me driving almost 4 hours to get there from central VT. Hmmm, I'll have to see if I'll actually be able to make that.

Sunrise sounds like it would be awesome, but I think it's at about 4am, so anyone coming from any distance would have to drive most of the night. Early morning might still be nice, around 7 or 8. Or sunset, even.

I don't know the area at all, so I can't suggest anything. But I'll let you if I'll make it as the date draws nearer. Considering the early/late times we could be dealing with, Saturday would be better for me.

We could always stay on the Franconia side of the White mountains, that would save ya an hours drive or so comming from Rutland. Let me know if that persuades you any.

Yessir, that persuades me. It would be a much shorter drive, round trip. If you're okay with that, I'm game :-)

I need to check out a map! :) We visit this area once a year (for the past 5 years now) and the names of places are familiar...

Thanks for that link to waterfalls. Great resource. I'm still looking but this falls seems interesting. Silver Cascade

Saturday won't work for me at all honestly as we'll be on the road still coming up from Virginia. If it doesn't pan out for Sunday that's cool with me - I've got all week to check some of this out. :P Of course, it's more fun with company (that's older than 12!).

Ripley is not far from Silver Cascade. It is a short hike but it's nice. just stay to the left on the trail.

If we are going to move to the closer location, it no longer makes a difference to me which day we choose. I'll go along with whatever the majority wants.

Well like I said, I can do either day as I am free for the entire weekend.

I need some of the stuff I have at home to setup an idea on itenerary though, I have some of these places mapped and want to be sure we have a decent starting point for all involved.
