I'm on the lookout for Sandisk Extreme IV Compact Flash cards in Sydney.

I've found one place that's doing the 4GB for $169 inc. gst. I'm trying to see if they have stock ATM...

That ends up about $20 more expensive than buying from BHPhotoVideo, after BH's shipping cost, but they are out of stock anyway.

Hi Allan

I've bought heaps of equipment from this place. (Camera + lens). You can either pick it up or he will send it out for something like $10.

I think he is probably the cheapest person around town and in fact I was going to buy a card off him last week but I want a Lexmar and he doesn't stock these.

Sandisk would be quite the same. I use them because Sandisk invented Compact Flash. Lexar are good, and that's why Sports Illustrated uses them!

I've purchased from an eBay user named "memorymate" who is based in Sydney. He seems to sell the genuine article, not the fakes that can be found throughout eBay - so his prices aren't the lowest on eBay, but (last time I checked) they compared well with other sources.

He doesn't have the exact card listed on his page at the moment, but you could contact him and ask if he has any available. I found him very easy to deal with, and was even able to arrange pickup at Five Dock.

I ended up getting the cards from D-D-Photographics in north Sydney.

I phoned them monday afternoon, paid over the phone, and the stuff arrived almost first thing the next morning. If you're in the Sydney area, or even any other OZ city, then consider these guys. They also have any Canon or Nikon bit of kit you could want, and near-USA prices. (after shipping and GST)
