Left-eyed.
But when using my rangefinder I force myself to use the right eye so I can keep my left eye open to view the whole scene.
Not so easy for me with the DSLR.

i shoot with the right eye, but keep the left open to look around the camera w/o going through the lens. and i'm left dominant, but right handed.. so i think i don't know which way i'm going..

According to that little test posted above, I'm left-eye dominant. But I shoot with my right eye. And I use my right eye to look through telescopes, microscopes, kaleidoscopes, etc.

Been wondering about this for awhile, glad you asked!

I use my left eye for the viewfinder, left hand to write with, left foot to hop :)

I use my right eye on the viewfinder, and often look around the side with my left eye, especially if I'm waiting for an action shot or panning.

I often use "no eyes" when I'm holding the camera out at arm's length.

That test says I'm 'Right'....but I have been shooting with my left. Seems as if I'm confused. I'll give the ole right a try.

Maybe that's what has been holding my images back!!!

Help me with this
I use my left eye for taking pics as I see better out of it.
however I have taken the test below and am right eye dominant

Should I try using my right eye to take shots or stick with what I am happy with and seems to work.. And what does dominant eye really mean if you naturally ( or have trained your self to) use the other eye

Left as much as I try to use the right (right is better as you can frame the pic and see other stuff). Then I am right handed writing, left for cricket/baseball (anything with two hands on the bat), right for squash/tennis (anything with one hand on the bat) and can throw both.

i'm left eye. (had to double-check that, hehe.) i wonder if that has any effect on composition or creativity, different eye linked to different part of brain? i dunno.

I use my left eye, because my right one is the weaker of my eyes.

is there any bearing on whether you are left or right handed?

I know that anyone has to use the right hand to press the shutter button but it might be linked.

I am right handed.

Right hand, left eye.

Although I can use either, I always fall back on my left, unless for some reason I can't. (It's really difficult to shoot rifles accurately right handed and left eye, so I use right.)

That test is interesting, but I can change its outcome with a simple mental trigger. No concentration required to do it.

My ex-girlfriend would swear that I use both eyes...one for her and the other for any other girl within bionic eyesight.

It wasn't true. I am very respectful but that's one reason why she is now "ex".

I use my right eye but squint my left eye closed. This makes sight in my left eye blurry after taking lots of photos. Should I keep the left eye open?

I use my right eye and acording to that test am right eye dominant. I think I see better out of my left eye (although they both suck) problem is , I can only squint and wink with my right eye open. I can't for the life of me close only my right eye. Crystal makes fun of me all the time about it:)

I don't look, I just press the button and hope for the best. If you look through my portfolio that explains a lot ;-)
