I know absolutely nothing about Cincinnati Ohio. I am going out 2 days before a business meeting to shoot around. Does anyone know of any good places to shoot in or out of the city??

I will have a renatl car, so I don't mind driving awhile to get some good shots.

Thanks!

There is all kinds of great stuff to shoot in "Over the Rhine".
Go there on foot and make sure all of your nice expensive gear is easily visible.

By the way I was kidding and would not recommend venturing in this area alone w/ nice gear especially at night.
While not as horrible as it once was it's still not nice.
As far as spots to shoot take a look at what others have already submitted at trekearth for ideas - trekearth - cincy pics

I figured you were kidding, it sounded like walking through that area with shiney new equipment, I would be asking to get mugged. Either that or you were planning on doing the mugging when I got there. LOL

Thanks for the info swank!

Mount Adams - and the park near there - yipes i cannot remember it's name! Great view of the city and the river. Interesting architecture and the park is beautiful too.

Oh while you are at it - take some pics of the new fountain square downtown lol - I haven't seen it yet.

What part of town are you going to be in? I used to live there and you will find a lot of interesting subjects all around the city.

Was it Eden park?

if you like panos then Eden Park overlook is a great way to get a 180-degree image of the Ohio as it winds from the Columbia delta all the way to downtown. Also, Eden Park has lots of interesting structures, including a reservoir pond with mosaic basin, a beautiful brick water tower, and Krohn Conservatory with lots of awesome plant life. The art museum, ampitheatre, monastery, and other interesting places are up there and in Mount Adams. Down on the west end of downtown is Union Terminal, the largest half-dome building in the world. It is an art-deco 1930's railway hub that has been turned into museums and a IMAX theater now.

Cincinnati also has a colorful skyline for night shots from across the river in Newport and Covington, KY and there is a good street scene there.
