|If you give them a CD of the files they won't buy prints from you. They can buy an 8x10 for $2-3 and you'll charge $12-40 (as you should). Perhaps if you explain retouching and photoshop they'll pay you for prints.
$75/hour is a decent starting point. It depends on your business model and your client. Business head shots are usually a flat fee. HS Seniors it's common to discount or even give the session free - but then they spend $400+ on prints.
For events, like corp and fundraisers, I've been charging 90/hour and some find it cheap, others not. I can make $125+ on some jobs and for weddings, with all the time in making the album, all the images one has to deal with,etc it closer to $75.
Pretty much if everyone buys from you, then up the prices a bit till 80 or 90% buy. As you improve your perceived value will increase and you can charge more.
