Good news, I got my Canon Digital Rebel figured out...been playing around with ISO's and getting far better shots then I was before. I think I am going to stick with it! :)

Well, that makes one of us anyway. :)

After I read your post, you had me wondering a little. I spent the better part of today using my new Rebel for the first time, and it seemed to me that my shots were a bit dark too. Mind you, that could have just been the day we had today in SW Ontario... kinda crappy. Still, I think you're probably right that it's something to do with configuration, and not the camera itself. Photoshop fixed up the darkness by using the "Auto Levels" option.

Hmm... still, my old Olympus didn't often need any light modifications. That could be because the lens that ships with the Rebel only goes down to an F-stop of 5.0 from what I can tell. The Olympus (non detachable) one went down as low as 1.6.

Weird. Glad you got the problem looked after, though. :)
