Is that the same Rikki? He could have come up with his own title at least heh.

Nothing wrong with trying to duplicate someone else's photo, IMO, but it would have been nice of him to give credit where it's due...

If it's any consolation, your shot is much better executed.

Oh no doubt...I just wouldn't use the same exact title...that part is pretty lame. Not sure it's the same Rikki that was a member here though, otherwise who knows whether he's seen mine or not.

Naa..completely different kind of shot, see how the light orbit around the globe is no-where near the same as yours.

It is exactly the same Rikki.

Check the profile picture ... and the portfolio: 'a drop of blue' and 'dual complexity' were both on DPC at some stage.

I'm going to agree with this. And I'm a bit (further) disappointed about the copying without acknowledging and same title, same color, etc. Copying, not emulating. Makes me sad.

Also makes me want to see if he posted a "if someone posts a copy of someone else's idea from another site, is there any way to get caught?" thread. :/

if he did that, it would be really sickening :(
anyone has accounts in eyefetch to confirm if it's really him?

It is.
<-- links to his profile page.

An appropriate comment was left there as well, with a link back to the original here.

Makes me sad too ;-(

For the record, the last comment of mine was tongue-in-cheek sarcasm.
The part about being disappointed was not.

Could be he legitimately thought he got the idea himself. I'll just throw that out there for the bandwagon of staunch Rikki defenders.

I forgot it's a new week so there must be a new Rikki thread. Should he have stated where he got the idea for the shot? Sure. Are there many people here guilty of the same? Most definitely myself included. I've done a water splash shot and *gulp* didn't give anybody else credit!

Ha. Actually I did give credit to IreneM for the inspiration of that shot so that's a bad example. However, I did notice on one of my recent uploads that I used the same title as deapee's photo and it too is of a light bulb. While the shots are different I better not take any chances and send him some royalties especially since he has guns.

Well at least for this one ... he bowed to the fact it was not his original idea ...

Photographer's Notes
I know we've all seen this before but I just wanted to try it. I think it's playful yet gets the message across as an advertising campaign.
