In my entry for the Red II challenge I used the hue/sat tool to shift the hue of a range of yellow colors ("selected" with the eyedropper tool) into the red range. I also used a photo filter (warming, I believe; could have also been red) to make the picture more red. Now I am kind of wondering if this is even legal in basic editing...

I would appreciate any input on the topic, I already tried searching on the forum, but almost all statements were made with regard to the old basic editing rules.

Thanks,
Henning

Here are the Basic Editing Rules

You can access them from the page where you enter a challenge, from the menu bar at the top (Challenges
In one of the first couple of lines, it does say that NO selections are allowed. A little further down, it gets more specific. Hue/sat adjustments are allowed, but only if done to the image as a whole, no selections. Using the eyedropper tool, I believe, would be a 'selection'. However, you could have just chosen the yellow channel, and changed the hue, but it would affect all the yellow in the shot.

It also covers filters, naming the specific ones that are allowed, and stating that 'effects filters' are NOT allowed, which I think would mean a warming filter would not be ok.

This is my understanding, if I'm wrong, please, someone correct me :-)
