I have a D70 and a Sb600. I want to use the continuous shooting mode with the flash off camera, wirelessly. Is this possible?

Do you mean one shot after the other....as you snap the shutter?

Have you ever tried your flash "off cam" in regular mode? It is called "commander mode". I ask just to get some idea as to where you may need help.

i am trying to use the flash off camera for shooting sporting events like High School B-Ball. I would like to use the camera in continuous shooting mode and have the flash (which is off the camera and mounted on a stand on the sidelines)keep up with me. It works great if the flash is on the camera but when i take it off it seems to disable the couninuous mode and i only get one exposure at a time. Is this more clear? Sorry if i am not discribing this well.

From my experinence with my sb800 I don't think you can shoot continous with the flash "off the cam". I searched the net awhile back and many say that the on board power in the flash (batteries) can't recycle fast enough to shoot in continous mode.

If I remember correctly, somehow your camera battery helps the flash do it's job in continous mode when it is "on" the camera.

I'll look over some bookmarks and if I find anything I saved I'll post in this thread.

Maybe with a set of pocket wizards. But the flash will not recharge rapidly enough to give you many shots in the burst.
At 1/4 power with a Nikon speed light with the standard batteries you'd get about 4 shots before recycle was needed.
