haha yeah, but I have an over active imagination, Also im sure that the moon being red is meant to be a bad omen and evil so I was making sure i was inside before the witching hour.... you know so nothing tried to eat my eyes and such. It was FAR too quiet considering im pretty much next to the city centre on a Saturday night. :P

I wasn't as prepared for this as I should have been. The forecast this afternoon called for rain, but I looked outside and saw that it was clear (of course) and ran out with just the basics. I processed a couple...

I posted an avi of the full lunar eclipse here.
Ok. It isn't of this one. This one wasn't visible here. It was the last one - in October 2004.

It was a struggle to get out on to my balcony to watch bits of the eclipse but it was worth it :o) Only got a few shots and they really don't do this event justice!

This is all we got to see in S W Florida. It was out for about 30 hazy seconds.

However, the sunset was a nice one.

straight from cam.

It was clear skies all day, then at 23:00 a thunderstorm rolls in. The eclipse was supposed to start at 23:30, but by then it was completely overcast.

Well, we Arizonans missed the Full Lunar Eclipse, because it reached totality around 4:20 PM, two hours before the sun set.

We'll just have to wait for August 27, 2007.

I did shoot the full moon this evening anyway:

100%, i had to go with 1600ISO, at lower ISO the shutter was open for too long and got motion blur.

Very upset that I missed the blood-red part.

This is all that I saw (UK).

I saw the whole thing in chunks, cos it lasted ages! Perfectly clear here in the South West :) Looked really cool when it went red :)

One of the best events since the full solar eclipse a few years ago. Wish I'd had a longer zoom, but here is one I managed to get:

This is the best shot I could get with the F30 - I didn't realise I'd have to push the ISO and shutter speed as much as I did, so it's not sharp. But, it does convey the copper/orange colour we saw.
