Greetings...

When giving in depth critiques on photos that you submit to challenges, it is extremely useful to us if you have included some comments to go along with your photos in the 'photographer's comments' field when you submit.

There are a lot of photos that get critique requests ever week. From this point forward, the critique club members will have the option of skipping over your photo if they don't understand what your intent is and there is no detail given in the comments box from you.

When a critique club member comes to your photograph and they can't determine what your intent with the image is, they will be allowed to leave a note that says something like:

"I don't understand your intent with this photo."

It's not much work to check the box to request a critique, but it is a good deal of work to do the critique. Please help the critiquer by describing your photo and any special intent you may have with it.

Fair point John.

I am looking forward to the critique club getting off the ground again :)

I used to automatically click the box, then gave up. I'll go back to clicking it again but ..... only when I think it is worth me getting a critique. If I know the shot is not good and know why, or how to improve it myself, I'll not waste other people's time asking them.

Sometimes I will submit a photo for a challenge that I think is good enough for the challenge, but I don;t have the ability or maybe the time to get it better, even if I can see where it can be improved.

Might make the task easier for these guys if people stop and consider "do I really want/need a critique of this, as it will take someone effort to do it, or am I just clicking it as it is there.

As a brand new Critique Club member, I would like to second Johns request for comments from photographers. I do NOT want to have to put a no comment comment like the one he details above on your picture so please give us a hand. Let's make the Club work together!!!

here here,,, BTW,,, I failed to put "from the critique club" on the first couple of images I did since becoming a member.
So,if you have a recent comment from me, it's as a member of the CC.

I'm learning so please feel free to correspond if you want to discuss your image further.
