has anybody ever tried slit-scan photography? or even heard about it?

I have one of those "Life photos" books that has one in it of some children running around and another book that has a nude on a turntable that is about 24 times as long as it is high. The first one used a pano film and it looks really strange, the second one used the whole roll of film in one exposure.
It is a fun technique. I think it would take more skill than I have to build the darkbox.
Are you going to try it? Hope to see the results if you do.
